Cultural Respite – Connect To Community Camps

Our cultural immersion camps are offered to individuals or groups of men, boys and girls looking for re-connection and healing through cultural activities.

They are designed to create a safe space for people to come together, practice culture, yarn and be inspired to become powerful, proud and healthy.

We have two locations on offer:

Central West NSW – This stay is enriched with Aboriginal culture and spirit.  Here you will get down to the grass roots and truly experience healing and peace.  You’ll be introduced to the art of Aboriginal storytelling, cooking, and creating your own artifacts by gathering the wood from the bush yourself.  A guaranteed connection to country with meaningful and purposeful positive experiences. You’ll be surrounded by strong role models who recognise the importance of cultural identity and belonging.

South Coast NSW – Our South Coast stay is more about relaxing the mind, body and spirit.  With the same cultural emphasis as our Central West camp, we work more on social and community engagement.  There’s plenty of swimming and fishing going on and lots of spaces for walks and sight seeing of our beautiful South Coast country and waterways. You’ll be supported to do as little or as much as you want, with activities programmed to suit you.

Each camp runs three times a year and typically from a Friday morning until late Sunday afternoon or night. We can adjust these times and days to accommodate you and may be subject to change due to weather.

BOOKINGS AND REGISTRATION ESSENTIAL

All camps are fully supervised 24/7 by staff who hold current WWCC and First Aid (including Mental Health First Aid)

Please note – invoicing is at NDIS pricing arrangements 2024 for all participants including non-NDIS clients.
